A mountain temple surrounded by a primeval beech forest
This ancient temple stands halfway up the sacred mountain, Mt. Daisen. Walking along the cedar-lined approach, you’ll be enveloped in a quiet and solemn atmosphere. The changing seasons add color to the temple, and the autumn foliage is particularly spectacular. This is a healing space where you can experience the history of Shugendo and the power of nature.
