Mitsushimacho Beach in Tsushima City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is a unique swimming beach featuring two artificial beaches connected by a 500m promenade. It was selected as one of the “88 Best Swimming Beaches in Japan” by the Ministry of the Environment, and boasts an AA rank for its water quality, which is among the best in the prefecture. It is easily accessible, just a 5-minute drive from Tsushima Airport, and is a popular local spot where events such as beach volleyball tournaments are held. Acropora coral grows in colonies offshore, allowing you to enjoy nature, and the adjacent Tsushima Green Park is also a great place to enjoy sports and leisure. This beach is a place where relaxation and activity coexist, and can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from families to outdoor enthusiasts.
