A sacred place associated with Kobo Daishi. Many gravestones of historical figures are also found here.
Okunoin, where Kobo Daishi is said to still meditate, is a world of faith and tranquility. Walking along the approach lined with countless moss-covered memorial towers, you cannot help but feel the weight of history and the prayers of the people. A sacred time flows that calms the soul.
