一年を通して花が楽しめる大船フラワーセンター。シャクヤクやバラが咲き誇る園内は、写真映え抜群の花景色が広がる「鎌倉 大船」人気スポット
シャクヤク・バラ・ハナショウブ・ツツジ・ボタンなど、数千品種の花々が一年を通して咲き誇る“花の楽園” です。大船駅から徒歩圏内でアクセスも良く、散策・写真撮影・家族のお出かけに人気があります。
- シャクヤク園、明治末〜昭和初期に品種改良された「大船系」を中心に 210品種・2,000株 を誇る国内有数の規模。見頃は5月上旬〜中旬。
- バラ園、原種・オールドローズ・モダンローズなど 370品種・1,200株。香りの良い品種が多く、春と秋に見頃を迎えます。
- ハナショウブ、大船で改良された「大船系」を含む 120品種・1,300株。見頃は6月。
- グリーンハウス、ドーナツ型のユニークな温室で、熱帯植物や季節展示を楽しめます。
- 芝生広場、ピクニックに最適な広い芝生エリア。家族連れに人気。
The Ofuna Flower Center (officially known as Kanagawa Prefectural Ofuna Flower Center), located in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, is a botanical garden where visitors can enjoy flowers throughout the four seasons.
This “flower paradise” boasts thousands of varieties of flowers, including peonies, roses, irises, azaleas, and tree peonies, blooming throughout the year. It’s easily accessible within walking distance of Ofuna Station and is a popular spot for strolls, photography, and family outings.
- The Peony Garden boasts 210 varieties and 2,000 plants, primarily the “Ofuna” variety developed during the late Meiji and early Showa periods, making it one of the largest peony gardens in Japan. Best viewing is from early to mid-May.
- The Rose Garden features 370 varieties and 1,200 plants, including wild roses, old roses, and modern roses. Many varieties are fragrant, and they are at their best in spring and autumn.
- The Japanese Iris Garden features 120 varieties and 1,300 plants, including the “Ofuna” variety developed in Ofuna. Best viewing is in June.
- The Greenhouse is a unique donut-shaped greenhouse where you can enjoy tropical plants and seasonal exhibits.
- The Lawn Area is a large grassy area perfect for picnics. Popular with families.
