In spring, 3,000 cherry trees bloom in the castle park. The illuminated cherry blossoms at night create a fantastical setting for historical romance.
Takada Castle Park, where the three-story turret has been beautifully restored, is one of Japan’s leading spots for viewing cherry blossoms at night, with around 4,000 cherry trees in full bloom in spring. The contrast between the flowers reflected in the moat and the castle is fantastic, and a stroll through the harmony of history and nature is an exciting experience. The scenery changes with the seasons, too.
