月山は標高1,984mの霊峰で、秋になると山肌が赤や黄に染まり、登山道沿いには高山植物と紅葉が織りなす絶景が広がります。山頂からの眺望はもちろん、姥ヶ岳方面の稜線も美しく、写真映えも抜群。登山初心者でもリフトを使えば比較的気軽に紅葉を楽しめるのも魅力。山形の秋を体感するなら、月山は外せません。

Mt. Gassan is a sacred mountain with an elevation of 1,984m. In autumn, the mountainside turns red and yellow, and the mountain trails are lined with spectacular views of alpine plants and autumn leaves. Not only is the view from the summit beautiful, but the ridgeline towards Mt. Ubagatake is also beautiful and makes for excellent photos. Another attraction is that even beginners can easily enjoy the autumn leaves by using the lift. If you want to experience autumn in Yamagata, you can’t miss Mt. Gassan.
