Sukawa Highlands is a hot spring resort located on a plateau at an altitude of 1,126m, and in autumn the surrounding mountains take on vibrant colors. The view of the autumn leaves from the “large open-air bath” is particularly spectacular, with the unique atmosphere created by the blending of the scent of sulfur and the autumn air. There are also well-maintained hiking trails, making it a popular access point to Mount Kurikoma. Here you can enjoy the luxury of both hot springs and autumn leaves at the same time.
