10円玉のデザインでおなじみの世界遺産。極楽浄土を表現した鳳凰堂は、阿字池に浮かぶような優美な姿が印象的。ミュージアム鳳翔館では国宝の雲中供養菩薩像や鳳凰像も鑑賞でき、平安文化の粋を体感できます。

This World Heritage site is well known for being featured on the 10 yen coin. The Phoenix Hall, which represents the Pure Land, leaves an impression with its graceful appearance as if it is floating on the Aji Pond. At the Hoshokan Museum, you can view the National Treasures of the Unchu Kuyo Bosatsu Statue and the Phoenix Statue, and experience the essence of Heian culture.
